Joyful Childhood is a program that fully handle by the student and has been conceptualized to meet the needs of the unfortunate children. This program aimed to improve the quality of life of the unfortunate children so that they are free from painful childhoods and it is also aimed at giving assistance, aid and care to the children by giving them some skill- training so that they are able to use the skill to generate some income.

We try to seek more fund beside the Khind Starfish foundation in order to maximize the people benefited from this project. Throughout this project,we manage to get sponsor from Unit Hal Ehwal Bukan Islam Perak .

This is one of the most successful charity project in my university. We face so much of difficulties throughout the preparation period but with the great team that I have, we are able to overcome all the obstacle and challenge that we met. The main difficulties that we have Is the adjustment of the date. We involve 3 homes in this project and it is hard to set a date that most of the children in each home are available. Finally, we decide to set the date of the project at the period where student have a lot of test. But yet, everyone still very committed to make this project a big success so that we are able to bring happy to all children. That why I say, I have a great and awesome team.

There are 3 home involve in this project and total of 35 of children and 4 staff from the home. The highlight of the event was when children flew kites together building friendship and laughing away to a carefree world. Life is like flying a kite, its dull when alone but colourful like the rainbow when together. We hoped that through this event, the orphans would remember that together they can live their lives flying high in the vast sky, never leaving any regrets behind. I hope this project will sustain and more people can do more project like this. From the smile and the laughing from the children, you will deeply feel that, it is the most precious thing in the world. We also spread awareness to all the student during the charity night. Around 1000 of student were involved in this charity night.

The theme of my project is about the childhood. When you think about the childhood, one of the most excited thing will be the kite flying. We have been visit few home and almost all of them never make a kite or never fly the kite. But from the expression, we know that they are so excited when they hear the word of “Kite”. So, we come out with this project, teach them to make kite and fly the kite with them. This bring so much of happiness to them. Although the happiness that bring to them throughout this project is just a short term, but , it will be a good memories for them. Even now, we still have good memories on our childhood, so they deserve to have it too. We also hope that more people will do the similar project so that all the children in our country will have a happy childhood since it will affect so much on their future.

This project not only change the way I think about the world, it also change the mind of people that involve in this project. Before this project, we tend to get things for granted and without any feel of appreciate. Throughout this project, we know there are so much people that don’t have a good childhood. They are even suffer during their childhood. We start to learn to appreciate what we have and deliver the happiness to those we are able to give.
