COMRADE is one of the leading clubs in IIUM that focus on the development of Orang Asli. We would like to propose a programme called Little Caliph Project which is a long term goal project providingtuition for the Orang Asli Kids at Kg. Teji, Kg Abu and Kg Senagkar Pahang and focusesFocus on the basic subjects, which is Mathematic, Bahasa Melayu, English, Science and Pendidikan Islam.

• To phase up the level of education of the Asli students and to heighten their awareness about the importance of knowledge. 
• To develop self-potential and leadership skills of Asli students for the betterment of their lives as well as to assist them to achieve life goals. 
• To boost up their self-confidence and self-esteem and to incorporate the Islamic way of life among students.
• To brings the society’s attention to Orang Asli existence as part of the society.
• To expose the parents to their children future perspective since they are the biggest influencer in the student’s life.
• To increase parents’ concern towards their children studies.

• Tuition Class and Mentoring Series

Since it is very hard for the Asli students to get education assistance outside of their classroom, we would like to conduct several series of tuition class for about every weekend in the Asli village. We have chosen Kg Teji, Abu, Senangkar and Susu to conduct the tuition class for the Asli children since we have made a mini library in the village. Perhaps later in the future we could do the same in other different villages. This tuition class is aimed to mentor and assist the children in their study. Among major subjects to be taught are English, Mathematics and Science. 

1.Classes implementation

A one-hour class for each subject will be conducted for 2 days of each phase. The tuition will be done at the same time at 3 different villages. Thus, the volunteers will be divided into three teams and go to 3 villages to conduct the tuition classes. There will be at least 3 teachers/mentors for each village. In each village, the students will be divided into 3 levels; level 1, level 2, level 3 according to their respective ages. 
e.g Maths level 1, Maths level 2, Maths level 3.English level 1, English level 2, English level 3

(The subjects will be teach based on the government school’s syllabus. The questions, quizzes, and/or exercises will be given to enhance the students’ learning. )

• To ensure the improvement of Asli students’ in their performance and have a short-term and long-term goals in their study.
• Able to provide a comfortable place for their education and sport activities. 
• To encourage the Asli children to have ambitions and visions in their lives.
• To make sure that all IIUM students are able to implement what they have envisioned and learn some lessons, experience and knowledge. 
• To make them ready mentally, spiritually, physically, in facing the challenging world
